Okay, so... got super drunk last night. Like super drunk. Super duper drunk. Just really want to emphasize the super and the duper part.
There is something I didn't take into account on Lodge nights.
Every other Wednesday we head to the Lodge for dinner and drinks, meet up with some friends, hang out for a while, and then head home. Usually it's no big deal.
Apparently, this time it was a big deal.
Over the last several weeks I've lost 21 pounds, and it never crossed my mind that maybe alcohol was going to hit a little differently now. So I drank like I normally would. I've always had a pretty high Constitution stat, so I wasn't exactly worried about it.
That was a mistake.
Now, our bartender definitely has a heavy hand when she pours, but did I factor that into my decision-making? No. No, I did not.
Needless to say, things got a little rough after we got home. There may have been some throwing up involved.
The funny part is that at my age, I still don't really get proper hangovers. No pounding headache. No feeling absolutely miserable all day. None of that. I'm just a little more tired than usual today and otherwise seem to be doing okay.
That said, I think I'm good on drinking for a minute. Not that I drink heavily anymore anyway. My alcohol consumption has dropped quite a bit since I stopped streaming D&D games.
Still, lesson learned.
I did have fun from what I remember. Not everything is crystal clear. There are definitely a few blurry spots in the memory reel, but overall it was a good night.
Just maybe one that didn't need quite so many drinks.
