More Bella Updates

I was having some sad meltdowns over my cat Bella this last weekend. So, she had a vet visit back on 12/30 for her (reoccurring) UTI...while there we asked the vet to look at a couple of lumps on her and it turned out she has basically feline breast cancer is what we knew at the time. For a 15yr old cat, my sweet Bella is doing pretty good after her surgery back on 1/6. She had two fairly large tumors removed from one of her mammary chains, the results came back late Saturday 1/14...the vet called but I missed it and we only had some information that he left on the voicemail. I've been through such a rollercoaster of emotion the last 3.5 weeks. The incision was pretty large for her small body but thankfully not terribly deep. Dr. E (my vet) called me again late Monday night. We talked for about 45min and I didn't hang up until almost 9pm. My Vets office closes at 5pm so he was working extra late, he did a great job and came out with good margins. The tumor type was classified as feline adenocarcinoma. It is fairly common for cats her age and almost always metastatic. Because of her age not wanting to put her little body in anymore trauma, we're moving forward with quality of life care for her. The options are there for surgery again if need be as well as Chemo but neither of those may or may not extend her life while putting her though more stress. She doesn't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.
